"My Young Queen" YOuth Development Program

A Queen's Narrative provide seasonal youth engagement workshop series for girls’ ages 12-18. A Queen's Narrative uses a 4 tier curriculum model that follows a progressive transitional power and co-facilitation format. The 4-tier modules are model, scaffold, coach, and lead.

• Model:  Facilitators provide participants with content, terminology, shared understanding of the subject matter, and program structure. 
• Scaffold: Facilitators are sharing leadership roles and discussions with participants. Facilitators are transitioning power over to participants through integrated activities that allow group and individual co-facilitation. 
• Coach: Participants are leading activities and discussions with support and guidance from facilitators.  
• Lead: Participants are leading activities and discussions with little to no support from the facilitator. Participants have a shared understanding of the subject matter and are comfortable articulating and showcasing their knowledge with the broader community 

Youth will learn leadership, team building, and relationship development skills through interactive play and discussions.
